Prioritizing the Older Client

At Sachs Law, we are committed to serving the legal needs of older and aging Ontarians across areas of elder law, estates and civil litigation. This means we can help draft your wills and power of attorney documents and we can fight for your rights with your retirement home and caregivers as well as helping to protect your rights as a consumer in a world that is increasingly hostile to older, aging adults and adults with disabilities.

Our passion lies in making sure you get to enjoy your golden years by ensuring your rights are protected, providing careful estate planning, assistance with all aspects of estate administration when the lives of your loved ones end, and fighting on your behalf when you’re faced with situations outside of your control.

Older adults face legal problems like everyone else. But too often elders’ issues are dismissed or treated unfairly simply because someone makes a poor assumption or tries to take advantage. You spent your whole life paying your dues, and at Sachs Law, we respect that.

Health Protocols

At our in-person appointments, we keep hand sanitizer on hand and have face masks available upon request. We do our best to stock the office with water bottles for everyone.

We prioritize everyone's safety

The pandemic saw a global shift in the way we work and live. As our practice has served older adults since before the pandemic, we’ve always been careful about making sure we all keep safe. We generally meet virtually and meet with clients across video and
telephone platforms.

Luckily, this allows us to serve clients all over Ontario and sometimes outside Ontario and Canada.

Although we are no longer in lockdown mode, we continue to meet clients via video and teleconference. However, in some cases, we really do need to meet with you in-person.

For in-person meetings, we continue to proceed carefully and ask that you do the same.
